Satisloh has announced the retirement of Werner Kalb and – at the same time – the designation of Luca Cavadini as new leader for the aftermarket business.
“It is with mixed feelings that today we announce the retirement of our much-appreciated Werner Kalb. For more than 20 dedicated years, he has been our ´Mr. Consumables´ and it is impossible to sum up all of his achievements” announced Satisloh. “Werner has been an integral part of our company and with his hard work, his dedication and his deep understanding of the business paired with his friendly personality he has been one of the key drivers for the success of our company. We would like to thank him for all these years of great service and friendship and wish him all the best!”
“On the other hand, we are pleased to announce that we have found a great leader to take over the responsibility of our aftermarket business: Luca Cavadini. We are certain that Luca will continue first class service to you, our valued customers,” annouced the company.

“After 30 years in the optical industry and 21 years with Satis Vacuum and Satisloh, I have decided to open a new chapter of my life: on June 30, I will go into retirement. During all these years I greatly enjoyed working in the consumables and aftermarket business. For sure I will miss the optical industry, my colleagues and especially you, the great customers that I had the privilege to work with. […] I would like to thank you as well as all the people within the Aftermarket Business Unit for your contributions to our mutual success. At the same time I am looking forward to my new life with less business travel and more time for my family, my classic vehicles with 2 and 4 wheels, some projects around the house and garden as well as travelling for fun.
What I am especially happy about is that I am handing the reins of our aftermarket business over to a successor with a similarly long experience in the optical industry […]. Before joining Satisloh he managed the Italian sales subsidiary of Pfeiffer Vacuum […]. He then led Satisloh Italy since 2004 interrupted only by a 3 year special assignment in Hong Kong as Head of Satisloh Asia Pacific, always guided by a great passion to serve our customers.”

“I am excited to take the helm of our aftermarket business and would like to thank Werner for his leadership and trust. Werner and I have worked closely together during the last few months to ensure a seamless transition. My focus will be on bringing you best-in-class aftermarket products at superior service levels from a partner that you can count on. While physical travel may still be limited for a while, I hope to meet you soon, be it in person or via online meetings and phone.”
