The transformation of the Rodenstock Group into a leading global lens manufacturer and med-tech company is progressing steadily. Now the group announced that Rodenstock, optovision and Indo Optical are strengthening their collaboration even further to create a more unified and efficient approach to global distribution and to ensure that Rodenstock is well-positioned for continued growth.
The international market launch will begin in Q2 2025 and Mr. Kornel Bogyo was appointed Senior Manager for International Business Development.

Rodenstock Group as a house of brands

The acquisition of Indo Optical in September 2022 has elevated Rodenstock from a single brand to a “House of brands.”
Together, optovision and Indo Optical offer high-performance product portfolios in the mid-price segment, both distinguished by technically superior products and strong, unique brand identities.

Building synergies for a unified global distribution of Optovision and Indo Optical

Rodenstock, optovision and Indo Optical are strengthening their collaboration to create a more unified and efficient approach to global distribution, ensuring greater benefits for their customers. Rather than handling distribution independently, the brands are now working closely together, with the Rodenstock Group’s International Sales team – experts with deep market knowledge and a strong global network – leading the effort.

Mr. Kornel Bogyo, an experienced sales expert, has been appointed as the Senior Manager for the international Business Development. Kornel will be responsible for building and managing relationships with partners around the world, ensuring a successful global roll-out of both brands. He will work closely together with Mr. Javid Samad-Zada, International Key Account Manager at optovision and a team of sales experts at Indo Optical to utilise the expertise in the distribution of the three brands and thus offer the best possible service for the customers.

This strategic shift fosters closer cooperation, maximizes distribution synergies, and reinforces strong partnerships between brand owners and their distribution or licensed lab partners. Most importantly, it delivers significant advantages to customers, including:

  • Improved product availability through a more streamlined and efficient distribution network.
  • Faster and more reliable delivery times thanks to optimized logistics and coordination.
  • Enhanced customer support with a more unified and responsive service structure.
  • Greater access to innovative solutions as a result of strengthened collaboration between the brands.

By aligning their strengths and expertise, optovision, Indo Optical, and Rodenstock are committed to providing customers with a superior experience, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and long-term value.

International market launch

The international market launch will begin in Q2 2025, with one distribution partner being selected per country. This partner must possess the necessary quality and strength to represent these strong brands in each national optical market. Initial talks about both brands can take place at the Mido trade fair in Milan from 8-10 February 2025 in the Global Partner Lounge, which is integrated into the optovision booth. Optovision will also have a booth at the event, where it will be showcased live (K14 L13 – Padiglione 3).

Both, RX and Franchise Labs have the opportunity to enter into a partnership for these brands. The labs will be carefully vetted and approved by Rodenstock’s renowned International Lab Support Team. This ensures they receive support and access to extensive expertise, adding value to each lab.

Sören Østergard, Vice President International Sales at Rodenstock, comments: “Together, optovision and Indo Optical offer high-performance product portfolios in the mid-price segment, both distinguished by technically superior products and strong, unique brand identities. We are glad to distribute these outstanding brands through our Rodenstock experienced sales experts in the future.”
