RestoringVision has released its 2022 Annual Report, highlighting its impact and growth as the organization served nearly 3.4 million people living in extreme poverty across the globe in a single year with the vision services and eyeglasses they need to see clearly.
RestoringVision accelerated its growth on all fronts in 2022 while simultaneously making a bold commitment: to solve the global vision crisis. The annual report reflects the collective efforts of an extraordinary global community of people, organizations, companies, and foundations, all working towards a common goal: to help individuals, families, and communities thrive through the gift of sight.
“We are thrilled to share RestoringVision’s annual report as it provides a look back at what we accomplished during fiscal year 2022 along with the stories of many individuals, families, and communities now experiencing the incredible ripple effects of restored vision,” said Pelin Munis, Ph.D., CEO of RestoringVision. “This annual report also highlights new efforts we have initiated to serve indigenous communities domestically, to serve refugees in and around Ukraine with the vision services and eyeglasses they need to see clearly, and new program models designed to create increased sustainable access to eye care for people in India, Peru, and beyond.”
In 2022, RestoringVision exceeded its pre-COVID impact. The organization made many advances in establishing RestoringVision as the leader in solving the global vision crisis by growing partnerships at all levels, and as a result, had an outstanding year of impact, reaching 3,398,112 individuals with the vision services and eyeglasses they need to see clearly to transform their lives. Remarkably, RestoringVision scaled its work in 18 countries, reached 3 new countries this year, and impacted a total of 90 unique countries in a single year.
