Ocuco gathered over 55 customers and industry partners for its Innovations User Group Meeting 2024 “Seas The Day”, held from April 11 to 13, 2024, at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort in Clearwater, Florida, USA. The event brought together optical lab professionals for three days of education and networking.

The meeting featured almost 30 workshops and presentations on topics such as Innovations and Lablink Development Roadmaps, strategies to enhance online presence, and specialized personnel recruitment. Highlights included the opening keynote, “Winning the War for Talent,” by resource management specialist Mike Karlsrud, and “Optical Insights: A Deep Dive into Lens Consumer Behavior” by Alysse Henkel, VP of Insights at The Vision Council.

Leo Mac Canna, Ocuco CEO, welcomed attendees and emphasized the essential role of the lab business within Ocuco’s ecosystem. “The lab business is not just an add-on to Ocuco. The knowledge of lens manufacturing has vastly improved our retail offering”, highlighted the CEO.  

Attendees found value in interactive discussions and workshops, with Dawid Drozdz, Optical Lab Continuous Improvement Manager, noting the opportunity to gain insights from industry peers and engage directly with Ocuco’s Development team.

“You’re brainstorming and sharing feedback directly with their development team, so you learn what is being prioritized, how they’re working, and how they’re troubleshooting. I think that can only happen face-to-face,” explained Drozdz.
