MIDO – Milano Eyewear Show is eyewear. For over 50 years, it has represented the essential moment when the entire supply chain meets to exchange ideas, projects, prospects for the future of eyewear and to do business. A product such as eyewear, be it prescription glasses or sunglasses, needs interaction and MIDO aims to activate exchange between people and facilitate business.

Anyone who has attended at least one edition of MIDO has breathed that unique 3-day trade fair ‘vibe’, a sort of creative and highly positive tension that drives exhibitors and visitors to enjoy it all and achieve the best possible in a relatively short time.

From 4 to 6 February at Fiera Milano Rho, all operators in the eyewear sector, whether manufacturers, distributors, buyers, representatives or exclusive retailers, will meet. All industry professionals can book their place at the 2023 edition of the most eagerly awaited eyewear show. Visitors can register at https://www.mido.com/en/entry-pass while the dedicated press link is https://www.mido.com/en/press-registration?section=Attend.

The new communication campaign, by creative director Max Galli and Mixer Group and presented in September 15, is built around four individuals, who will be revealed each month until December 15, and who embody the underlying principles of the MIDO philosophy: contemporaneity, culture, fashion and beauty. The new claim: “The Eyewear State of the Art” reasserts MIDO’s leadership position, the place where it is possible to witness the present and the future of eyewear, thanks to the participation of the entire global supply chain.

MIDO also means active participation by optical centres and exhibitors: nominations are already open for the BeStore award, which is presented by an international jury of experts to the stores offering the best shopping experience in the “Design” category and the most attentive customer services in the “Innovation” category. To apply, please complete the form https://www.mido.com/en/bestore-award by 9 January 2023.

Now in its second year, MIDO 2023 will also reward the Stand Up For Green award, recognising the most sustainable stand in terms of attention to environmental impact and use of materials. Last year’s prize was won by Piero Buono’s Good’s stand, which stood out as the best-built stand, designed by Francesco Stazio, for its reusable structural elements and materials to minimise its environmental impact. In fact, salvaged materials from restoration sites and Plexiglas elements that were subsequently recovered were used for the stand. MIDO will take place at Fiera Milano Rho on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 February from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Monday 6 February from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. All updates, www.mido.com and on social channels: Instagram (@mido_exhibition), Facebook (@MIDOExhibition), Twitter (@MIDOExhibition) and Linkedin.
