flō Optics raises $35 Million – among the investors is also a well-known machine manufacturer
flō Optics, an Israeli technology company that has developed a solution for coatings on optical lenses using digital printing technology, is announcing today that it has raised $35 million in Series A funding. The capital raise was facilitated by law firm Naschitz Brandes Amir, under the guidance of its Managing Partner Tal Eliasaf and Associate Gili Aram.
One key strategic investor is MEI Systems
The round was led by leading global strategic entities from the ophthalmic industry, joined by existing and new Israeli and international shareholders. Amongst these, one of the key strategic investors joining flō Optics with a minority investment is MEI Systems, a global leader in producing lens-edging machines and innovative solutions for the industry.
“We found an affinity with the disruptive innovative approach of flō Optics. At MEI, we always think out of the box to revolutionize the processes and meet our customers’ needs, and we can see that the same passion moves flō Optics”, claims Stefano Sonzogni, President of MEI.
The financing will be used by the company to accelerate product development, expand production capabilities and increase operations to meet growing demand. This is a key period of growth for the company, as it leverages its technological advances to establish a significant presence in the global ophthalmic market.
According to Jonathan Jaglom, Chairman and CEO of flō Optics: “The funding comes as the company transitions from its development phase to its growth phase and will ensure that flō Optics has sufficient resources available for its product launch and initial customer installations. It will also enable the company to drive innovation, establish global partnerships, and make a significant contribution to advancing the optics sector worldwide.”
Jaglom adds: “This funding round not only validates the market potential of our technology, but also aligns us with partners who share our vision for innovation and excellence. We are grateful for the trust the investors have placed in us.”
The company is also excited to announce its participation in Mido 2025, the world’s leading international optics exhibition, where flō’s first commercial product, the Visiōn100, will be showcased. The debut at Mido marks a pivotal moment for the company as it moves from development to commercialization.
