Coburn Technologies introduces the new Spectrum Prismatic Lens Blocker

Coburn Technologies, Inc. is pleased to announce the newest innovation in Lens Blocking Systems, the Spectrum Prismatic Lens Blocker. Designed for compatibility with all common surfacing machines, the Spectrum Prismatic Lens Blocker provides extremely precise alignment of the lens at the correct prism angle. It also provides all this functionality at a price point not previously seen in the marketplace.
The Spectrum Blocker measures the front curve of the lens and warns the operator if the blank is incorrect, virtually eliminating blank selection errors. This measurement can also be provided to the LMS for modification of back curve calculations to produce a more accurate lens.
The Spectrum Blocker is available with multiple blocking ring configurations from 50 mm to 63 mm and is also available in a plano (non-prismatic) version. The Spectrum Blocker will be on display at this year’s Vision Expo West 2019 in Las Vegas.
