MIDO 2022 even more open to international mobility

The recent “Covid decree law”, issued by the Italian Government on green certifications and international mobility, confirms the organizers’ far-sightedness in choosing to program MIDO 2022 in the spring (April 30 – May 2).

Among other things, the decree provides for the possibility for foreign visitors to freely access the fairs with a rapid or molecular negative test, a provision that also applies to vaccines that were not authorized nor accepted by the Italian Ministry in the past.

The Decree precisely is aimed at facilitating access to services for which the vaccine certification is required for people from abroad, including fairs.
In particular, it is possible to access events/exhibitions/fairs with a rapid or negative molecular antigen test (valid for 48 hours from execution, if rapid, or 72 hours, if molecular), for the following:

• If the person from abroad has completed the vaccination cycle 6 months before arriving to Italy, with one of the vaccines that were authorized and accepted by the Italian government, or has been cured of Covid more than 6 months before;
• In the case of vaccinations that were not authorized nor accepted by the Italian government.

The new decree was issued as the data are showing a dramatic improvement in the development of the pandemic and it is a sign of openness for international mobility, of fundamental importance for all visitors, buyers and exhibitors who come from abroad. For the 2022 edition, MIDO will finally be able to guarantee the internationality and participation that have always distinguished the event.
