Mirjam Rösch for leadership role at Spectaris confirmed
Mirjam Rösch remains at the helm of the Consumer Optics Trade Association within the German industry association Spectaris. The managing director of Hoya Lens Germany and Seiko Optical Europe was re-elected as chairwoman for another three years at the Consumer Optics Industry Forum as part of the Spectaris Future Festival in Berlin. In addition, the general meeting reconfirmed her as deputy chairwoman of the Spectaris umbrella association.
Mirjam Rösch has headed the Consumer Optics trade association, which represents the fields of ophthalmic optics, long-range optics, and photographic technology, since 2022. Under her leadership, the association has increasingly focused on strategic future issues – from securing skilled workers and sustainable production processes to the political visibility of the industry.
“I am delighted about the trust placed in me and look forward to continuing our work together. Our goal remains to strengthen Germany’s appeal as a location for production and innovation and to raise public awareness of eye health,” Rösch emphasized after her re-election.
Sustainability, digitalization, and promoting young talent will be her key priorities for the coming term of office.
The Consumer Optics trade association brings together companies from the optical, remote optics, and photographic technology industries. Together with the three other Spectaris trade associations—Photonics, Medical Technology, and Analytical, Bio, and Laboratory Technology – it represents a central part of Germany’s high-tech industries.
The Consumer Optics Industry Forum took place as part of the Spectaris Future Festival in Berlin, which brought together more than 250 guests from politics, business, and science under the motto “Megatrends – Opportunities & Potential for Germany’s Future Industries.” On November 3, Rösch will open the 24th edition of the Optics Trend Forum in Berlin – one of the most popular industry gatherings in the field of optics.
