The European Patent Office has granted ColorboostTM lenses the important European patent No. EP3721272, thereby fully validating it in all major European markets. This provides strong legal protection for the premium, color-enhancing, high-contrast lenses.

This and over 30 other patents worldwide for the EU, UK, US, and Asia secure the exclusive rights for the high-contrast lenses for everyday use and sporting activities. The launch of Colorboost, advanced color-enhancing lenses, marks a breakthrough in color vision with lenses. Colorboost lenses have been precisely engineered to enhance colors by more than twofold while ensuring optimal color accuracy. The aim is to completely redefine the visual experience in all areas—from sports and lifestyle to health.

Colorboost — two decisive factors

Two key figures are central to the quality of Colorboost technology: the Color Resolution Factor (CRF) and the Color Accuracy Factor (CAF). The CRF describes how many additional colors the lenses make visible – up to 35% more colors than with the naked eye. This expands the entire color spectrum and ensures a significantly more detailed perception. But color intensity alone is not enough: With a CAF of 99%, the lenses also guarantee almost perfect color reproduction — natural, precise, and with impressive depth.

Colorboost lenses are available throughout Europe as flat lenses or single vision and progressive lenses. They can be purchased from authorized lens grinders and opticians.

Starting in January 2026, Colorboost will begin a collaboration with renowned Japanese frame manufacturer Charmant, the official partner of Head Eyewear, thereby expanding its presence in the sports and performance segment. Selected Head sunglasses can then be fitted with Colorboost lenses directly at the optician.

Justin Fong, CEO of ColorBoost Inc., expressed his enthusiasm about the market launch: “Did you know that there are over 30,000 more colors that patients can see with Colorboost lenses? We believe that everyone deserves this kind of visual experience, and we are determined to offer it to the world.”
